Hi,
Please pass along to Fr. Joe that I was watching EWTN yesterday and came across the Big Al Show for the first time. Now, I am a criminal attorney in inner-city Boston courts, and am 61 years old, and found myself nevertheless fascinated by a show aimed at young children (even younger than me) and it was about crying and how it is okay to cry and ask God to give our departed loved ones a big hug and I was nearly in tears and I thought, what an effective show if it makes a guy in his early sixties affected! :) Great job done on that show, the whole concept, etc… I may even order a few DVDs myself, I mean, for kids, that is :)
Dear Fr. Joe,
Thought you’d get a kick out of seeing Big Al in Linn. MO. David – my great nephew – who just turned seven saw Big Al at Assumption a few years ago when they were visiting there. He loved Big Al (as we all do) so I couldn’t resist getting your DVDs for his birthday present. David’s our special kid. Please keep him in your prayers because he was born withspina bifida and may never walk. I understands he sits on his bed and watches Big Al every night. He attends St. George School in Linn. Mo in his fire engine red wheelchair, but at home he prefers to get from place to place using his “army crawl”. He’s smart as a ship and is the youngest of 4.
God bless you for all the good work you do. You’re the greatest!
Dear Fr. Joe,
After a wonderful day in the park we had dinner, baths and snuggled up with the Big Al DVDs. I was sure magic. We laughed but understood the messages. Is that for adults too or what! Twice this morning I have used your words. These DVDs are such great gifts to every age and I can’t wait to see your book. They just love Big Al. This is top theology. You should have Big Al classes at seminarians. Intense thanks for the amazing Gospel Values gift and yours.
Dear Father Joe:
Because of not having had children of my own…
And our call to love all the children of the world…
This explanation at www.welovebigal.com… Your support of Gospel Values will help children know Jesus and his beautiful message. Your gift will help children grow up knowing what they most need to know in life: that they have a dignity that no one can take from them; that they are loved and can love; that Jesus loves them and is with them each step of the way; and that it matters how we treat each other. And this quote… “You might wonder how much you matter, or you might think that God has plenty of others, but nobody else could ever take your place.” -Fr. Joe.
It’s a great cause… A cause much bigger than myself…
Also… My love for Big Al, Annie, and this website…
Please accept this testimonial… This is where my heart lies.
With love…
Gaye Ellen Marie
Dear Fr. Joe,
My copy of Liguorian magazine arrived today and there you & big Al were. I saw you 2 at Assumption Parish several times when on vacation, so I was delighted to see you getting national coverage. I will be watching you on EWTN every Tuesday from now on. I am telling everyone I know who have children to check your web site. It is fantastic! My grand-daughter belongs to your parish. Keep up the good work, Fr. You are a true Apostle of God.
God Bless you.
This video gives interesting examples and the witness of children who are living out the teachings of Jesus. The children are growing in their own ability to deal and behave in ways that are positive with each other. This would make a wonderful gift for my grandchildren. Thank you for sharing!
